It\u2019s easy, quick and in less than an hour I have a perfect treat next to a coffee cup.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This spelt flour carrot cake is some-what healthier than traditional carrot cake, as it contains spelt flour. (3 tbsp.) orange juice<\/li>\n<li>180 grams (1 1\/4 cups) spelt flour<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>10 grams (2 tsp.) baking powder<\/li>\n<li>300 grams grated carrots (about 3 carrots)<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) chopped hazelnuts<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 165c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and cinnamon until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add in oil and orange juice in a thin stream, while whisking, and continue stirring until absorbed.<\/li>\n<li>Sift in flour, spelt flour and baking powder and fold with a spatula until almost fully incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Add grated carrots and hazelnuts and continue to fold just until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the batter into greased baking pans and bake for about 35-50 minutes or until golden brown and set.<\/li>\n<li>Serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cake covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can freeze the cakes for up to a month.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6697\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6697\" class=\"wp-image-6697\" title=\"Spelt Flour Carrot Cake with Hazelnuts\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG_8509-Large.jpg\" alt=\"Spelt Flour Carrot Cake with Hazelnuts\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-6697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Assaf Ambram<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love making carrot cakes at home.
