I didn\u2019t like tahini at all and couldn\u2019t understand why people are so crazy about these cookies. Well, after the first taste I finally got it \u2013 tahini cookies are the best! You just have to try this recipe and see for yourself \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9880\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9880\" class=\"wp-image-9880\" title=\"Tahini Cookies with Pistachios\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/tahini_pistachio_cookies-s.jpg\" alt=\"Tahini Cookies with Pistachios\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9880\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21231--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Tahini Cookies with Pistachios<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div style=\"direction: ltr\">Based on a recipe of Benny Saida, with some changes and adjustments.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the tahini cookies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>200 grams (1 cup) soft butter<\/li>\n<li>200 grams (1 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>240 grams (1 cup) raw tahini paste<\/li>\n<li>350 grams (2 1\/2 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>natural whole pistachios<\/li>\n<li>sugar powder for serving<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a mixer bowl with paddle attachment, whip butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until mixture is creamy.<\/li>\n<li>Add tahini and mix until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Sift in flour and baking powder and mix just until smooth dough forms.<\/li>\n<li>Using a teaspoon form small cookies, roll and place them on an oven pan lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Put whole pistachio at the center of each cookie.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and a little soft to the touch.
