I only \u201cdiscovered\u201d peanut butter in my 20\u2019s, and never really had any childhood memory concerning peanut butter, but after the first taste I simply fell in love.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">These chocolate and peanut butter brownies are one of the recipes I make over and over again, and I often have a batch of these in the fridge. I like how the saltiness of the peanut butter combine with the sweetness of the chocolate and add some chopped peanuts that make them a little crunchy.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_20942\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20942\" class=\"wp-image-20942\" title=\"Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownies\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/chocolate_and_peanut_butter_brownies2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownies\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-20942\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 20941--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the brownies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>250 grams dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>175 grams (1 1\/2 sticks) butter<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>20 grams (2 tbsp.) dark brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 large eggs at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>4 heaping tablespoons smooth peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>some chopped peanuts for decoration<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 175c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl melt dark chocolate and butter in a microwave or over double-boiler.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt and whisk until mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Sift in flour and fold in gently using a spatula, just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the mixture into a greased pan and flatten the top.<\/li>\n<li>Create small mounds of peanut butter over the brownie using a spoon, and then make a marble form with a knife.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with chopped peanuts.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the brownies for about 20 minutes or until set on the edges but slightly soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely before cutting into squares.<\/li>\n<li>Serve warm or at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the brownies in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to a week, but you can also freeze until a month and a half.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use smooth or chunky peanut butter according to personal taste.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As chocolate and peanut butter addict, I tend to combine both of these ingredients in my recipes quite often.
