After years of searching for the perfect recipe for flourless chocolate cake \u2013 I finally got to this beautiful, melt-in-your-mouth flourless chocolate cake that is simply addictive.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is definitely one of the best chocolate cakes I ever made, and I make it all year round for birthdays and other special occasions. (3 tbsp.) brandy or rum<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp. fine salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For serving:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Sugar powder<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 160c degrees, and place on the oven floor a flat pan with boiling water to create a steamy baking environment.<\/li>\n<li>Melt chocolate and butter in a bowl in the microwave or over double-boiler.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg yolk into the chocolate mixture one by one, while whisking between additions. Add cocoa, vanilla and brandy and stir until completely blended.<\/li>\n<li>In a mixer bowl whip the egg whites and salt at high speed and gradually add in the sugar. Whip until stable peaks form.<\/li>\n<li>Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the mixture into a greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is cracked slightly at the top, set at the edges but still slightly soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool covered in order to remain soft and tender when completely cool.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle some powdered sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">If you do not like brandy, it&#8217;s possible to convert with any other alcohol.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Gluten-free important note: It is important to check whether the brandy used is gluten-free.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve the cake at room temperature, but keep it in the fridge for up to a week.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There\u2019s nothing in the world I love more than a really good chocolate cake.
