Breakfast my favorite meal of the day, especially on weekends. I always like to try new dishes at restaurants when having the brunch menu, and almost always pancake or French toast are my ultimate choice.

A pile of pancakes with pure maple syrup on top is truly one of my favorite things to eat. It’s decadent, sweet and so delicious, I wish I could eat it every single day. As I’m trying to maintain a healthy life style, pancakes are my weekend-only breakfast treat.

I started making homemade-pancakes quite a long time ago, and this has definitely become a Saturday morning tradition at our house. I wake my spouse with a delicious fresh stack-of-pancakes smell, and along with a warm cup of fresh coffee – it’s just what you need to start off a great weekend.

This pancake recipe is so easy to make and even kids can make it. I like to serve it with maple syrup, fresh strawberries and jam, but you can add anything you like – caramelized bananas, chocolate sauce, chopped nuts, fresh or dried fruit and even candy.
