This chocolate cake is so easy to make, quick and absolutely yummy. It\u2019s an all-time favorite cake in my family \u2013 so chocolatey and perfect for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/category\/holidays-and-events-en\/birthday-cakes\/\">birthdays<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to make the cake you will only need a bowl and a whisk, and the frosting is simple chocolate ganache with a lot of chocolate candy and sprinkles. (1 cup) sour cream<\/li>\n<li>250 ml. (1 cup) heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>180 grams (1 1\/4 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. baking soda<\/li>\n<li>70 grams (1\/2 cup) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For chocolate ganache:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>125 grams dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. Frangelico liqueur or brandy ((optional))<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl whisk melted butter, eggs, sugar, sour cream and heavy cream until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa and mix together just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until set and a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out with moist crumbs on it.<\/li>\n<li>Ganache: heat cream to a simmer.
