Whenever I want to make Babka for the weekend \u2013 it makes it a lot easier, because I simply fill the dough with Nutella and the result is always delicious without having to make a special filling.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This Nutella Babka combines Nutella and white chocolate chips in the filling and is simply delicious and so fragrant. \u00a0This combo creates a cake that is hard to stop eating as soon as it&#8217;s out of the oven. It&#8217;s definitely the perfect treat next to a coffee cup.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10236\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10236\" class=\"wp-image-10236\" title=\"White Chocolate Nutella Babka\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/nutella_and_white_chocolate_yeast_cake-s.jpg\" alt=\"White Chocolate Nutella Babka\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10236\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21717--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">White Chocolate Nutella Babka<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the dought:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>530 grams all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>8 grams active dry yeast<\/li>\n<li>75 ml. milk<\/li>\n<li>25 ml. orange juice<\/li>\n<li>75 grams natural white yogurt<\/li>\n<li>3 , medium eggs<\/li>\n<li>100 grams sugar<\/li>\n<li>pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>100 grams soft butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the filling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 jar of Nutella spread<\/li>\n<li>200 grams white chocolate chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For egg wash:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 egg yolk<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. milk<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Make the dought: in a bowl of an electric mixer with a kneading hook put flour, yeast, milk, orange juice, yogurt, eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and butter and knead for 10-12 minutes until a smooth and slightly sticky dough is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Place the dough in a large bowl, cover and let rise for about an hour or until it doubles in volume.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the risen dough onto a slightly floured work surface and divide into two parts.<\/li>\n<li>Roll each part on a well-floured surface to a rectangle 1\/2 inches thick and spread about 1\/2 of the Nutella in a thin layer. Sprinkle half the amount of white chocolate chips in top. Roll tightly and divide into 2 (at length). Braid 2 parts and put in a slightly greased pan.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat with the second part of the dough and the remaining of Nutella and chocolate chips.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the cakes and let rise until it almost doubled its volume.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 160 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl combine the egg yolk and milk.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the cakes and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set.<\/li>\n<li>Cool slightly and serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">If you want, you can add chopped nuts to the filling for extra crunch.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use milk or dark chocolate chips instead of white chocolate chips.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the babka in an airtight container at room temperature for about a day, but it is best once it&#8217;s out of the oven.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can freeze the babka for up to 2 weeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chocolate spread, and Nutella in particular, is something I always have in the pantry.
