Strawberries are one of my top favorite fruit, and even though in the beginning of the season they cost a small fortune \u2013 I can&#8217;t resist and buy a pack or two.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The perfect winter dessert in cold days is strawberries and cream parfaits. This is a fancier version with homemade golden buttery streusel on top, but you can crumble a few butter cookies and get the perfect bite.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10035\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10035\" class=\"wp-image-10035\" title=\"Strawberry and Cream Parfaits\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/strawberry_cream_dessert2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Strawberry and Cream Parfaits\" width=\"800\" height=\"1202\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10035\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Strawberry and Cream Parfaits<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Makes four 200 ml. servings<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For vanilla cream:<br \/>\n<\/u>250 ml. heavy cream<br \/>\n2 tbsp. sugar powder<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For cookie crumble:<br \/>\n<\/u>50 grams cold butter cun into cubes<br \/>\n50 grams sugar<br \/>\n50 grams all-purpose flout<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">20 strawberries<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Cream: in a bowl of mixer whip cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until you get a smooth and stable cream. Transfer into a piping bag and drizzle into the glasses, about 1\/3 height.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the strawberries into cubes and sprinkle over the cream.<\/li>\n<li>Cookie crumble: preheat oven to 175c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade blend butter, sugar and flour until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the crumbs into a pan lined with baking paper and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle cookie crumble on top of strawberries in each glass.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can use fresh berries instead of strawberries.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">This strawberry and cream parfaits are best on the day of preparation.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can prepare the cookie crumble 2-3 days prior to serving.
