(1\/4 cup) strong espresso<\/li>\n<li>30 ml. (2 tbsp.) Baileys or Kahlua<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) warm water or milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For mascarpone mousse:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>4 grams (1 tsp.) gelatin powder<\/li>\n<li>20 ml. (4 tsp.) water<\/li>\n<li>4 large egg yolks<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>45 ml. (3 tbsp.) brandy or Marsala wine<\/li>\n<li>250 grams (1 cup) mascarpone cheese, at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>250 ml. (1 cup) cold heavy cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the cream:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>250 ml. (1 cup) cold heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. sugar powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Cocoa powder<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Ladyfingers: in a flat bowl (to dip the cookies in) mix espresso, Baileys and water or milk.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange ladyfingers on the sides of the pan creating a &#8220;fence&#8221;. Cut them about 2 cm from the bottom if needed, in order to &#8220;stand&#8221; still.<\/li>\n<li>Dip ladyfingers in the coffee mixture and arrange on the bottom of the cake. It is important to fill the base completely and avoid holes, so break cookies as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Gently brush the ladyfingers &#8220;fence&#8221; to moisten it just a bit<\/li>\n<li>Mascarpone Mousse: in a small bowl mix gelatin and water and set aside for 10 minutes at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>In a heat-proof bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar and brandy (or Marsala).<\/li>\n<li>Cook the egg mixture over double-boiler, while whisking vigorously, until the mixture is airy and somewhat brighter.<\/li>\n<li>Dissolve the gelatin in the microwave and add to the mixture. Strain and add in the cheese.
