This cake was made with the talented and close friend, <a href=\"http:\/\/netacooks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Neta<\/strong><\/a>, who is an amazing photographer and blogger. (1\/2 cup) vegetable oil<br \/>\n125 ml. (1\/2 cup) milk<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. ground cinnamon<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n280 grams (2 cups) all-purpose flour<br \/>\n50 grams (1\/2 cup) almond meal<br \/>\n10 grams (2 tsp.) baking powder<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">15-20 fresh figs cut into quarters<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For pistachio streusel:<br \/>\n<\/u>25 grams natural peeled pistachios<br \/>\n50 grams (5 tbsp.) all-purpose flour<br \/>\n50 grams cold butter, cut into cubes<br \/>\n50 grams (1\/4 cup) light brown sugar<br \/>\nPinch of salt<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sugar powder for decoration<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pans.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, mix sugar, eggs, oil, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt into a uniform mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, almond meal and baking powder and mix until smooth batter forms.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into the pan and place figs quarters at the top.<\/li>\n<li>Pistachio streusel: in a food processor with a steel blade, place pistachios, flour, butter, sugar and salt and blend at high speed for 1-2 minutes or until a crumbly mixture is obtained.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle the streusel at the top of the cakes generously.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the cakes for 35-45 minutes or until golden and set.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is recommended to serve the cake at room temperature rather than cold.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Keep the cakes in a closed container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Instead of figs, you can use any other fruit you like.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Instead of pistachios, you can use any other kind of nuts you like.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recipe can also be prepared in a 24 cm diameter circular pan instead of two loaf pans.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Instead of almond meal, ground coconut can be used to diversify flavors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_16977\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16977\" class=\"wp-image-16977\" title=\"Fig Cake with Pistachio Streusel\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_7708.jpg\" alt=\"Fig Cake with Pistachio Streusel\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-16977\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I only started loving figs recently, but they simply stole my heart, and this year I have made so many different kinds of desserts with figs!
