The kind of dessert you just can&#8217;t go wrong with and everyone is gonna love it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16920\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16920\" class=\"wp-image-16920\" title=\"Chocolate Lava Cakes\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2.jpg\" alt=\"Chocolate Lava Cakes\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-16920\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21595--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Chocolate Lava Cakes<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the cakes:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>125 grams (1 stick) butter<\/li>\n<li>200 grams dark chocolate 53% cocoa solids<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 large egg yolks<\/li>\n<li>80 grams (8 tbsp.) sugar<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. brandy<\/li>\n<li>25 grams (2 tbsp.) all-purpose flour (see notes for gluten-free version)<\/li>\n<li>Sugar powder for serving<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Grease the molds and sprinkle a little sugar coating the bottom and sides.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Melt chocolate and butter in the microwave or over double boiler.<\/li>\n<li>In a mixer bowl whip egg, egg yolks, sugar, salt and brandy and on high speed until the mixture is fluffy and airy.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg mixture into the melted chocolate and fold gently until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour and stir just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the mixture between the molds.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or slightly swollen in the middle, set at the edges but still soft in the center. Beware of over-baking, which may cause the cakes to be less soft inside.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can prepare the batter about 1-2 days before baking and keep in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve the chocolate lava cakes immediately.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Gluten-free version: use cornstarch instead of flour.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These chocolate lava cakes are one of my favorite desserts.
