Sour cream<\/li>\n<li>100 ml. vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>120 grams sugar<\/li>\n<li>250 grams honey<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<li>350 grams all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp. ground ginger<\/li>\n<li>Zest of one lemon<\/li>\n<li>2 apples (peeled and diced)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>sugar powder<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 165c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Put the teabag in boiling water and let the mixture &#8220;sit&#8221; for several minutes.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl beat together sour cream, oil, sugar, honey and eggs until you get a smooth mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the tea water.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger and lemon zest and beat just until mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Fold in the apples and transfer into baking pans.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Cool at room temperature and sprinkle some sugar powder.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cake in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 6 days.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Instead of apples you can use pears or peaches.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can add some nuts into the batter.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just for upcoming Rosh Hashana, this is one of the best honey cakes there is.
