(1\/2 cup) boiling water<\/li>\n<li>1 tea bag<\/li>\n<li>200 ml. (1 cup) sour cream (see notes for nondairy version)<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>250 grams (2\/3 cup) honey<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>350 grams (2 1\/2 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. ground ginger<\/li>\n<li>Icing sugar for decoration<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 165c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Put the tea bag in boiling water and infuse for about 10 minutes at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk sour cream, oil, sugar, honey and eggs into a smooth mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add the tea mixture and mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Add in flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and ginger and beat just until mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased muffin pan. Fill almost to the edge of the holes.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out with moist crumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Before serving, sprinkle a little powdered sugar.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Nondairy version: use coconut milk instead of sour cream.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Spices can be added or omitted according to personal taste.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cakes in the refrigerator in a sealed box for up to 7-9 days.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rosh Hashana is coming next month, and this is just the time to get some traditional recipes for desserts and cakes that are perfect for the holiday.
