(1\/2 cup) sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>350 grams (2 1\/2 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>6 granny-smith apples (peeled and dices)<\/li>\n<li>75 grams (3\/4 cup) finely chopped walnuts<\/li>\n<li>Light brown sugar for coating<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>&nbsp;Preheat&nbsp;oven to 170c degrees.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl mix brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, oil, sour cream, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour and baking powder and mix gently until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in diced apples and walnuts.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the mixture between 2 greased pans and smooth the top. Sprinkle some light brown sugar on top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the center of the cakes comes out with moist crumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Cool slightly and serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Instead of apples you can use pears or peaches.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the apple cake in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to a week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve at room temperature.
