This version combines chocolate chips and hazelnuts and is crunchy and absolutely delicious.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11075\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11075\" class=\"wp-image-11075\" title=\"Hazelnuts and Chocolate Chip Biscotti\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/chocolate_and_hazelnut_biscotti2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnuts and Chocolate Chip Biscotti\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11075\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21580--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Hazelnuts and Chocolate Chip Biscotti<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the chocolate chip biscotti cookies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) soft butter<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. brandy<\/li>\n<li>280 grams (2 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>6 grams (1 1\/2 tsp.) baking powder<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (1 1\/2 cups) whole hazelnuts<\/li>\n<li>100 grams dark chocolate chips (or coarsely chopped dark chocolate)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>In the bowl of an electric mixer with a paddle attachment put butter, sugar, salt and vanilla and whisk at high speed until the mixture is creamy and soft.<\/li>\n<li>Clean the sides of the bowl using a spatula and add the eggs one-by-one, while mixing between additions.<\/li>\n<li>Add brandy and mix until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, baking powder, nuts and chocolate and mix just until slightly sticky dough is formed.<\/li>\n<li>With slightly wet hands transfer the dough into baking pan lined with baking paper and divide into 2 parts.<\/li>\n<li>Form each part of the dough in a long loaf.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 160c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the loaves for about 25-35 minutes or until golden.<\/li>\n<li>Cool the loaves completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Using a serrated knife cut 1 inch thick cookies and put on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the oven temperature to 140 degrees and bake the cookies for 20-30 minutes \u200b\u200bor until golden and a little hard time margin.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely on a cooling rack and store in a sealed container.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use any nut you like instead of hazelnuts.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the biscotti in a sealed container at room temperature for up to two weeks.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can also freeze the cookies for up to ta month.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11076\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11076\" class=\"wp-image-11076\" title=\"Hazelnuts and Chocolate Chip Biscotti\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/chocolate_and_hazelnut_biscotti-a.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnuts and Chocolate Chip Biscotti\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11076\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Biscotti are Italian cookies that are so easy to make and perfect to dip in a coffee cup.
