The chocolate combines just perfectly with the nuttiness of the praline, and that result is absolutely genius!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This praline chocolate tart is so chocolate-y and delicious, with a cocoa short crust pastry filled with chocolate and praline cream and some praline powder and whole hazelnuts for decoration.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9807\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9807\" class=\"wp-image-9807\" title=\"Praline Chocolate Tart\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/chocolate_praline_tart2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Praline Chocolate Tart\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9807\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21655--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Praline Chocolate Tart<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For cocoa short crust pastry:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) cold butter cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (5 tbsp.) sugar powder<\/li>\n<li>10 grams (1 tbsp.) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (1 cup + 1 tbsp.) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1 egg yolk<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp. cold water (if necessary)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For chocolate and praline filling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>200 grams dark chocolate 60% cocoa solids<\/li>\n<li>50 grams praline paste<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) milk<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp. Frangelico liqueur or brandy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Praline powder<\/li>\n<li>Crunchy chocolate pearls<\/li>\n<li>Toasted hazelnuts (halved)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<h4>Cocoa short crust pastry:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade put butter, sugar powder, cocoa powder and flour and blend until crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg yolk and continue to process just until the dough clumps. If the dough is not united &#8211; add 1-2 tablespoons cold water.<\/li>\n<li>Combine the dough clumps together, create a disc shape and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 3-4 mm thick and line the pan. It is important to create a right angle between the sides and the base of the crust, which will ensure the edges remain high when baking.<\/li>\n<li>Using a fork create holes in the crust. Freeze the crust for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Blind baking:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Put a sheet of heat-resistant plastic wrap or baking paper on the frozen crust and fill with dry beans or special weights for baking.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 12-14 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the weights and the plastic wrap and continue to bake the crust for about 2-3 minutes or until crust is starting to set.<\/li>\n<li>Cool at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Chocolate and praline filling:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Chop the chocolate and put in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>In a small pan, heat praline paste, cream and milk to simmering point.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the cream mixture over the chopped chocolate, wait a minute, and whisk until smooth ganache is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Add the eggs one at a time, while whisking between additions.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, add salt and liqueur and stir until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the filling on half-baked crust and bake for 12-16 minutes, until the filling is set at the edges but still slightly soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the tart in the refrigerator up to 3-4 days in a closed container.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve the tart at room temperature rather than directly from the refrigerator then is at its best in terms of texture.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9808\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9808\" class=\"wp-image-9808\" title=\"Praline Chocolate Tart\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/chocolate_praline_tart3-s.jpg\" alt=\"Praline Chocolate Tart\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9808\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chocolate and praline is one of my favorite combos in desserts.
