All-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>10 grams active dry yeast<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. fine salt<\/li>\n<li>500-600 ml. water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Topping:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Za&#8217;atar and olive oil to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>In a bowl of a mixer with a dough-hook put flour, yeast, sugar, salt and about 450 ml. of water and knead for 10-13 minutes, until the dough is uniform, flexible and pliable. If needed, add a little more water while kneading.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the dough and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in volume.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and divide into 20 pieces.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out each piece of dough into a thin circle and place on an oven pan lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Generously brush each pita with olive oil and sprinkle with za&#8217;atar to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and let rise for about 15-20 minutes until pitas swell slightly.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 200c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden.<\/li>\n<li>Serve immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">The pitas are at their best on the day of baking.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can add chopped nuts into the topping and season with any other spice you like.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most Israeli ingredients is Za&#8217;atar.
