It goes perfectly next to my coffee cup on the weekends (I wish I could eat it every day though!), and I simply love cinnamon.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">These cinnamon rolls combine crunchy pecans and maple glaze, creating a delicious breakfast idea &#8211; cinnamon, pecan and maple rolls. The scent that&#8217;s spreading all over the house while baking is just incredible, and you won&#8217;t be able to resist it!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12142\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12142\" class=\"wp-image-12142\" title=\"Cinnamon Rolls with Maple and Pecans \" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/cinnamon_pecan_pastries2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Cinnamon Rolls with Maple and Pecans \" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12142\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 20268--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Cinnamon Rolls with Maple and Pecans<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the dough:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>500 grams (3 1\/2 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>40 grams (4 tbsp.) sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>10 grams (1 tbsp.) active dry yeast<\/li>\n<li>125 grams (1 stick) soft butter<\/li>\n<li>150 ml. (3\/4 cup) sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For cinnamon and pecan filling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams (1 stick minus 1 tbsp.) soft butter<\/li>\n<li>200 grams (1 cup) dark brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 heaping tablespoon ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (1\/2 cup) chopped pecans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For maple glaze:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>30 ml. (2 tbsp.) maple syrup<\/li>\n<li>60 ml. (1\/4 cup) water<\/li>\n<li>1 beaten egg for brushing<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Dough: in a bowl of a mixer with a dough-hook put flour, sugar, salt, yeast, butter, sour cream, vanilla and eggs and knead for about 10 minutes until dough is slightly sticky.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and let rise until doubled in volume.<\/li>\n<li>Cinnamon and pecan filling: whisk soft butter, sugar and cinnamon into a smooth mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out the dough into a 1-2 cm thick rectangle.<\/li>\n<li>Spread the filling evenly in a thin layer.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle over the chopped pecans.<\/li>\n<li>Roll the dough into a tight roulade.<\/li>\n<li>Cut to 12-15 equal parts.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the pastries into a lightly greased muffin pan.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and let rise for about an hour or until almost doubled in volume.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Gently crush the pastries with egg.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and set.<\/li>\n<li>Maple glaze: in a small pot put sugar, maple and water and bring to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the pastries generously with the glaze.<\/li>\n<li>Cool for 15 minutes at room temperature and serve warm.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use any kind of nut you like instead of pecans.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cinnamon rolls in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
