It&#8217;s made of a baked butter streusel layer filled with the easiest cream cheese filling, all topped with tons of buttery crumbs that make it one of the best.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This crumb cheesecake cake is so easy to make and is just perfect for Shavuot or for all-year-round cheesecake lovers.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10358\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10358\" class=\"wp-image-10358\" title=\"Crumb Cheesecake\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/crumble_cheesecake-s.jpg\" alt=\"Crumb Cheesecake\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10358\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Crumb Cheesecake<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a024 cm round cake pan<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For the base and streusel:<br \/>\n<\/u>200 grams all-purpose flour<br \/>\n120 grams cold butter cut into cubes<br \/>\n90 grams icing sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n2 large egg yolks<br \/>\n1 tbsp. brandy or rum<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For cheese filling:<br \/>\n<\/u>450 grams cream cheese<br \/>\n350 grams white cheese (or sour cream)<br \/>\n150 grams icing sugar<br \/>\n80 grams cream stabilizer of instant vanilla pudding mix<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\nZest of 1 lemon or orange<br \/>\n500 ml. whipping cream<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade put flour, butter, icing sugar, vanilla and salt and blend until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg yolks and brandy and continue to blend only until large chunks of dough form.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer about 2\/3 of the dough-chunks into the pan and press down evenly to form a crust.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the remaining crumbs into a separate baking tray lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 12-17 minutes, or until crumbs and crust are completely golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Cheese filling: in a large bowl, whisk cream cheese, white cheese (or sour cream), icing sugar, vanilla, stabilizer and zest to a smooth mixture.<\/li>\n<li>In a mixer bowl, whip cream until you get a stable whipped cream.<\/li>\n<li>Fold the whipped cream into the cheese mixture using a spatula until you get a uniform and stable cream.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the cream over the baked crust and flatten the top using a palate knife.<\/li>\n<li>Freeze the cake for at least 4-5 hours, or until it is completely frozen.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the pan and sprinkle streusel on top.<\/li>\n<li>Defrost for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator until serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Keep the cake in the refrigerator in a closed container for up to a week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add the streusel just before serving.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can omit the zest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you like cold cheesecakes, you&#8217;re simply going to love this crumb cheesecakecake.
