Each time I make it it&#8217;s different, but it has to have chocolate inside!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This chocolate cake combines chocolate cake with some added ground coffee for aroma, topped with luscious peanut butter cream, shiny chocolate ganache and peanut butter chips for decoration. It&#8217;s easy to make and great for peanut butter lovers.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15329\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15329\" class=\"wp-image-15329\" title=\"Coffee Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/chocolate_coffee_and_peanut_butter_cake3-s.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15329\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 19473--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Coffee Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For coffee chocolate cake:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams (1 stick) melted butter<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) dark brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. instant coffee powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. milk<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) all-purpose flour (see notes for gluten-free version)<\/li>\n<li>40 grams (4 tbsp.) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) dark chocolate chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For peanut butter cream:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>150 grams (2\/3 cup) smooth peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>30 grams (2 tbsp.) soft butter<\/li>\n<li>85 grams (2\/3 cup) icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) whipping cream (very cold)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. instant vanilla pudding mix<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For chocolate ganache:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) whipping cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Peanut butter chips<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Coffee and chocolate cake: preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk butter, brown sugar, sugar, coffee, vanilla and salt until mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add eggs and milk and beat until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and stir just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Add chocolate chips and fold gently until it is evenly dispersed in the mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into the pan and level the top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cake is set at the edges and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Peanut butter cream: in a bowl of a mixer with a whipping-attachment put peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar and mix until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add heavy cream and stabilizer and beat at high speed until thick cream forms.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the cream over the cake, and smooth evenly using a palate knife.<\/li>\n<li>Cool for about 1\/2 hour in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate ganache: chop the chocolate and put in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add heavy cream and solvents together in the microwave or over double-boiler until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the chocolate coating on top of the peanut butter cream and cool the cake in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours until set.<\/li>\n<li>Before serving, garnish with peanut butter chips.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cake in a closed container in the refrigerator up to 5-6 days.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">It is recommended to take it out of the fridge about 10 minutes before serving.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Gluten-free version: converters flour with cornstarch.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15328\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15328\" class=\"wp-image-15328\" title=\"Coffee Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/chocolate_coffee_and_peanut_butter_cake2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15328\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chocolate cake is the one thing I make at least once a week.
