(1\/2 cup) milk<\/li>\n<li>2 large egg yolks<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) soft butter<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Cinnamon filling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) light brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) butter<\/li>\n<li>1 heaping tsp. ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. milk<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg white<\/li>\n<li>30 (3 tbsp.) cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>Beaten egg for brushing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the glaze:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>60 ml. (1\/4 cup) water<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Dough: in a bowl of a mixer with dough hook put flour, yeast, milk, egg yolks, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt and knead for 10-12 minutes until the dough is soft.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the bowl and let rise in warm place for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in volume.<\/li>\n<li>Cinnamon filling: mix sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt, milk, egg white and cornstarch until the mixture is smooth in texture of a paste.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the dough into 2 parts.<\/li>\n<li>On a floured surface, roll each part into a rectangle about 1\/2 cm thick and spread about 1\/2 the amount of filling.<\/li>\n<li>Roll tight and cut into 1-2 cm thick rolls.<\/li>\n<li>Place the cinnamon rolls on an oven pan lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat with the second part of the dough and the remaining filling.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the rolls and let rise for about an hour or until the almost double the volume.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Gently brush the rolls with egg and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and set.<\/li>\n<li>Glaze: in a small pot put sugar and water and heat over high heat until the sugar dissolves.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the pastry generously with syrup, let cool slightly and serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve warm or at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the rolls in an airtight bag in the freezer for up to 2-3 weeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15214\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15214\" class=\"wp-image-15214\" title=\"Mini Cinnamon Rolls\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/cinnamon_rolls2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Mini Cinnamon Rolls\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15214\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love cinnamon rolls, and it is definitely one of my favorite pastry in the morning.
