(2 tbsp.) milk<\/li>\n<li>140 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>35 grams (1\/4 cup) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>100 grams dark chocolate (chopped)<\/li>\n<li>100 grams chopped hazelnuts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Topping:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 large egg white<\/li>\n<li>Light brown sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>In a bowl of a mixer with a paddle-attachment put butter, sugar, vanilla and salt and blend at high speed until the mixture is creamy, airy and soft.<\/li>\n<li>Scrape the sides of the bowl using a spatula, and add the egg yolks one at a time, while mixing between additions.<\/li>\n<li>Add milk and continue to blend until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, cocoa, chocolate and nuts and mix until the large chunks of dough are formed.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough on a lightly floured work surface and unite together.<\/li>\n<li>Divide into 3 parts.<\/li>\n<li>Form each part of the dough into a tight cylinder shape.<\/li>\n<li>Put the rolls of dough on a tray and chill in the freezer for 1-2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the rolls with some egg white and cover in light brown sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into 1\/2 cm thick cookies and put on a baking tray lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the cookies for about 10-13 minutes or until set.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use any other kind of nut you like instead of hazelnuts.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cookies in a sealed jar for up to two weeks.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">It is important to chop the chocolate and nuts relatively thin (but not really a powder).<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15176\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15176\" class=\"wp-image-15176\" title=\"Chocolate Sugar Cookies with Hazelnuts\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/chocolate_and_hazelnut_diamonds2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Chocolate Sugar Cookies with Hazelnuts\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15176\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love crunchy sugar cookies, and this following recipe is one of the best to my taste.
