It&#8217;s delicious, chocolatey and melts-in-your-mouth.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15137\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15137\" class=\"wp-image-15137\" title=\"Hazelnut Caramel Brownies\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/caramel_and_hazelnut_brownies-s.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnut Caramel Brownies\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15137\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 19463--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Hazelnut Caramel Brownies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the brownies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>200 grams dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (1 stick) butter<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. instant coffee powder<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>3 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>20 grams (2 tbsp.) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>50 grams almond meal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the caramel with hazelnuts:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>250 ml. heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. ground sea salt<\/li>\n<li>25 grams (2 tbsp.) butter<\/li>\n<li>60-70 grams toasted hazelnuts (coarsely chopped)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For chocolate ganache:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>150 grams dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) heavy cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Chopped hazelnuts<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl put butter and chocolate and melt in the microwave over double boiler until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add coffee, sugar and salt and beat until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add the eggs one at a time, stirring between additions until you get a smooth and thick batter.<\/li>\n<li>Add cocoa powder and almond meal and continue to mix just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer into the pan and flatten the top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the brownie for about 20-25 minutes or until set, but still soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool for about 10 minutes at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Caramel with hazelnuts: in a large skillet put sugar and form caramel<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, heat cream and salt in a small pan to simmering point.<\/li>\n<li>When the caramel is amber, pour the cream and mix carefully.<\/li>\n<li>Cook over medium heat until you get golden and smooth caramel.<\/li>\n<li>Add the butter and cook while stirring for another 1-2 minutes until melted and blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add roasted hazelnuts and stir.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the caramel over the brownie and flatten the top gently to create an even layer.<\/li>\n<li>Cool in the refrigerator for an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate ganache: chop the chocolate and put in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add heavy cream and solvents together in the microwave or over double boiler until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the ganache on top of the toffee and spread evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely in the refrigerator for 203 hours, until completely set.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into squares, sprinkle some hazelnuts and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve the caramel brownies at room temperature for ideal texture for eating.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Instead of hazelnuts you can use any other kind of nut you like.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15136\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15136\" class=\"wp-image-15136\" title=\"Hazelnut Caramel Brownies\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/caramel_and_hazelnut_brownies23-s.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnut Caramel Brownies\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15136\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Caramel and dark chocolate are simply a great combination in desserts.
