Plus, it&#8217;s so easy to make!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14399\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14399\" class=\"wp-image-14399\" title=\"Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_1438.jpg\" alt=\"Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds\" width=\"800\" height=\"1199\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14399\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21370--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the brownies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>200 grams dark chocolate 60% cocoa solids<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. ground cardamom<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. ground ginger<\/li>\n<li>150 grams 3\/4 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the chocolate frosting:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams dark chocolate 60% cocoa solids<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) heavy cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams of a mixture of seeds and nuts to taste<\/li>\n<li>Strips of orange peel<\/li>\n<li>A little coarse sea salt<\/li>\n<li>A little ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl put butter and chocolate together and melt in the microwave or over double boiler until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt, vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and sugar and beat into a smooth mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add the eggs one at a time, while whisking between each addition.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour and mix just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into the pan, and smooth the top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 15-20 minutes or until set at the edges but still slightly soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate frosting: in a bowl put chocolate and cream and melt together in the microwave or over double boiler until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Cool the coating for about an hour in the refrigerator, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a comfortable spreadable texture.<\/li>\n<li>Spread the frosting on top of the brownies.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with a mixture of seeds, orange peel and sprinkle with a little sea salt and cinnamon.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into cubes and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve the brownies warm or at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can decorate with any type of nuts or seeds you love, but it is important to ensure that they are slightly toasted.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">It is recommended to use dark chocolate with 60% cocoa solids in order to get the perfect result.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the brownies in a closed container in the refrigerator up to 5-6 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14400\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14400\" class=\"wp-image-14400\" title=\"Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_1436.jpg\" alt=\"Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14400\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_14401\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14401\" class=\"wp-image-14401\" title=\"Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_1447.jpg\" alt=\"Sea Salt Gingerbread Brownies with Seeds\" width=\"800\" height=\"1199\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14401\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2016 will be over in a few days, and I couldn&#8217;t just let it go by without saying farewell with a sweet, chocolatey treat.
