I like the crispy sugar and cinnamon coating, and the soft and buttery texture on the inside. It\u2019s the perfect cookie to go a long with a tea cup.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I make this Snickerdoodles cake as some kind of homage to the cookies, after <a href=\"http:\/\/netacooks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neta <\/a>and me wanted to have a winter-y photoshoot. Cinnamon is the perfect spice for cold winter nights, and in this cake it POPS! Soft, melt-in-your-mouth cake with a lot of cinnamon inside, and it&#8217;s so easy to make, you don&#8217;t even need an electric mixer.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14040\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14040\" class=\"wp-image-14040\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_1358.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"1199\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14040\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Snickerdoodles Cake<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">24-26 cm round Kugelhopf cake pan<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><u>For the cake:<br \/>\n<\/u>3 large eggs<br \/>\n125 grams (1\/2 cup) dark brown sugar<br \/>\n50 grams (2.5 tbsp.) honey<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 tsp. ground cinnamon<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n200 ml. (1 cup)\u00a03% fat plain yogurt<br \/>\n125 ml. (1\/2 cup) vegetable oil<br \/>\n175 grams all-purpose flour<br \/>\n50 grams (1\/2 cup) ground almonds<br \/>\n2 tsp. baking powder<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><u>For the icing:<br \/>\n<\/u>100 grams (10 tbsp.)\u00a0sugar powder<br \/>\n1-2 tbsp. cold water<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14042\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14042\" class=\"wp-image-14042\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_1412.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"1055\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14042\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, yogurt and oil until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, almonds and baking powder and mix just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into the pan, and smooth the top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the cake is golden, set and a skewer inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Cool for 10-15 minutes at room temperature and turn on a serving plate. Cool completely.<\/li>\n<li>Royal Icing: in a small bowl mix sugar powder and water until the mixture is thick and luscious.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the Royal Icing on the cake and let it set at room temperature for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Keep the cake in a closed container up to 4-5 days.<\/li>\n<li>You can add other spices according to your personal taste.<\/li>\n<li>You can use sour cream instead of yogurt.<\/li>\n<li>You can use maple or date syrup instead of honey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_14043\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14043\" class=\"wp-image-14043\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_1396.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14043\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Neta Livne<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Snickerdoodles are one of my favorite cookies in the winter, and I keep making it whenever it starts to get a little cold.
