It&#8217;s the perfect treat next to your coffee cup and also a great idea for Christmas!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/thEZynZ75HQ\" width=\"800\" height=\"566\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\/\/ \n<br \/>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<br \/>\n\/\/ <\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cinnamon Rugelach Cookies<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">25-30 cookies<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For the short crust pastry:<br \/>\n<\/u>140 grams (1 cup) flour<br \/>\n25 grams (1\/4 cup) almond meal<br \/>\n100 grams cold butter, cut into cubes<br \/>\n20 grams (2 tbsp.) icing sugar<br \/>\n15 grams cornstarch<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n100 grams cream cheese<br \/>\n1 large egg yolks<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>For the filling<\/u><u>:<br \/>\n<\/u>50 grams melted butter<br \/>\n50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<br \/>\n1 tsp. ground cinnamon<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>Decoration<\/u><u>:<br \/>\n<\/u>Sugar powder<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade put flour, almonds, butter, powdered sugar, cornstarch, salt and vanilla and blend until crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add cream cheese and egg yolk and continue to process just until large clumps of dough form.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough on a lightly floured work surface, create a disc shape and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about 1\/2 hour.<\/li>\n<li>Assemble the rugelach: divide the dough into 2 parts.<\/li>\n<li>Roll each part into a 3 mm thick circle, brush with melted butter and sprinkle about 1\/2 amount of sugar and cinnamon in an even layer.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the dough into 12-15 triangles (like a pizza).<\/li>\n<li>Roll the rugelach and put on an oven pan lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat with the second part of the dough and the remaining sugar and cinnamon.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Keep my rugelach in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_12821\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12821\" class=\"wp-image-12821\" title=\"Cinnamon Rugelach Cookies\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/cinnamon_rugelach.jpg\" alt=\"Cinnamon Rugelach Cookies\" width=\"800\" height=\"353\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12821\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Benny Gam Zo Letova<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love cinnamon rugelach cookies, and cinnamon is probably one of my favorite spices in the world.
