It&#8217;s festive and will make your dinner guests say &#8220;WOW&#8221;!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12897\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12897\" class=\"wp-image-12897\" title=\"Pecan, Coffee and Halva Brownie Cake\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/chocolate_pecan_coffee_and_halva_brownie_cake2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Pecan, Coffee and Halva Brownie Cake\" width=\"800\" height=\"795\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12897\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pecan, Coffee and Halva Brownie Cake<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">22 cm round cake<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For chocolate, pecan and coffee cake:<\/span><br \/>\n200 grams dark chocolate<br \/>\n150 grams butter<br \/>\n150 grams sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. salt<br \/>\n2 tsp. coffee powder<br \/>\n3 large eggs at room temperature<br \/>\n75 grams ground pecans<br \/>\n25 grams cornstarch<br \/>\n1 tsp. baking powder<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For Halva cream:<\/span><br \/>\n250 ml. heavy cream<br \/>\n40 grams honey<br \/>\n30 grams raw tahini paste<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 tsp. cream stabilizer or instant vanilla puffing mix<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Decoration:<\/span><br \/>\n100 grams dark chocolate<br \/>\nToasted sesame seeds<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Chop the chocolate and place in a bowl. Add butter and solvent together in a microwave or over double boiler until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar, salt and coffee and whisk until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add eggs one at a time while whisking between additions.<\/li>\n<li>Add pecans, cornstarch and baking powder and beat just until you get a smooth batter.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into the pan, and smooth the top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set at the edges but still slightly soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Halva cream: in a bowl of a mixer, whip cream, honey, tahini, vanilla and stabilizer until stable cream is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the cream into a piping bag with a 2 cm round piping tip and drizzle mounds of cream on top of the cake.<\/li>\n<li>Decoration: melt the chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the melted chocolate onto a baking paper and spread in a thin layer using a palate knife.<\/li>\n<li>Generously sprinkle with sesame seeds and cool in the freezer for 30 minutes to harden.<\/li>\n<li>Break the chocolate into asymmetrical pieces and garnish the top of the cake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Keep the cake in a closed container in the refrigerator up to 3-4 days.<\/li>\n<li>Instead of honey you can use date syrup or maple.<\/li>\n<li>You can use any other nut you like instead of pecan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_12898\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12898\" class=\"wp-image-12898\" title=\"Pecan, Coffee and Halva Brownie Cake\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/chocolate_pecan_coffee_and_halva_brownie_cake-s.jpg\" alt=\"Pecan, Coffee and Halva Brownie Cake\" width=\"800\" height=\"354\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12898\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This brownie cake is soft, moist and super chocolatey, and is enriched with pecans, coffee and halva cream on top.
