(1\/3 cup) vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>125 ml. (1\/2 cup) water<\/li>\n<li>80 grams (1\/3 cup) raw tahini paste<\/li>\n<li>140 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>100 grams chopped almonds<\/li>\n<li>Icing sugar for decoration<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, oil, water and tahini until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour, baking powder and almonds (keep aside about 1-2 tablespoons of chopped almonds for decoration) and mix just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle on top the rest of the chopped almonds.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the cake is golden, set and a skewer inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the tahini cake in a closed container up to one week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use any other nut you prefer instead of almonds.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can make the recipe in a 24 cm round cake pan too.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12965\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12965\" class=\"wp-image-12965\" title=\"Almond Tahini Cake\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/halva_almond_cake-s.jpg\" alt=\"Almond Tahini Cake\" width=\"800\" height=\"353\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12965\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This tahini cake looks simple and plain, but if you like tahini you are going to love it.
