Cookies are such a great treat and so easy to make &#8211; your mood just has to get better!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">These chocolate oatmeal cookies are full of dark chocolate and crunchy oatmeal and are chewy, moist and so delicious!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11175\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11175\" class=\"wp-image-11175\" title=\"Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/chocolate_oatmeal_cookies-s.jpg\" alt=\"Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11175\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21749--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div style=\"direction: ltr\">Based on this recipe from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.completelydelicious.com\/chocolate-oatmeal-cookies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Completely Delicious<\/a> with some adjustments.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the<\/h4>\n<h4>cookies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>200 grams dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (3\/4 cup) butter (or 120 grams coconut oil)<\/li>\n<li>200 grams (a little less than 1 cup) dark brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. baking soda<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) spelt flour<\/li>\n<li>80 grams (1\/2 cup + 1 tbsp.) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>40 grams (4 tbsp.) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>150 grams (1 1\/2 cups) whole oats<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Chop the chocolate and place in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add butter and melt together in the microwave or over double boiler until melted.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar and whisk until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Add the eggs one at a time, stirring between the additions.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt, cinnamon, baking soda, spelt flour, white flour, cocoa powder and oatmeal and mix just until slightly sticky dough forms.<\/li>\n<li>Cool the dough for about 10 minutes in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Form small balls of dough and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Flatten the top of the cookies with your hands and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the cookies set on the edges but slightly soft in the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cookies in a sealed box for up to a week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can add chopped nuts and or dried fruits to the dough.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whenever I&#8217;m a little sad, I step into the kitchen and make some cookies.
