The sweetness of the chocolate combines so well with the tartness and acidity of the orange and they both create the most magical bite. This is why I love this orange chocolate tart.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This tart is super fudgy, has the greatest winter-y aroma and is covered with fluffy mascarpone cream. If the dough is not united, you can gradually add 1-2 tablespoons cold water.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough chunks on a lightly floured work surface and create a disc-shape.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>On a floured work surface roll out the dough about 3 mm thick and cut out 10-12 cm round circles. Line the molds while ensuring the creation of a right angle between the base and the edges.<\/li>\n<li>Pierce the base of the crust with a fork.<\/li>\n<li>Cool in the freezer for about 1\/2 hour.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Blind baking: put a sheet of heat-resistant plastic wrap or baking paper over each tartelette and fill with dry beans or special weights for baking.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 10-12 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the weights and the plastic wrap and continue to bake the crust for about 5-6 minutes or until set and almost fully baked.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Chocolate-orange filling:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a medium bowl melt chocolate and butter until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, whip egg, egg yolks, sugar and orange zest until creamy and airy.<\/li>\n<li>Add melted chocolate mixture into the whipped eggs and fold gently until combined.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into the baked tart shells and return for further baking in the oven for about 7-8 minutes, or until the filling is set at the edges but still slightly soft at the center.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Mascarpone cream:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a mixer bowl whip mascarpone, sugar, vanilla and orange zest at medium speed.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the speed of whipping, add the cream in a thin stream and continue whipping until stable cream is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the cream into a pastry bag fitted with 1 cm piping tip and drizzle over each tartelette.<\/li>\n<li>Decorate with a little cocoa powder and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep in the refrigerator for 5-6 days.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8070\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8070\" class=\"wp-image-8070\" title=\"Orange Chocolate Tart with Mascarpone Cream\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/chocolate_orange_tartlette2-small.jpg\" alt=\"Orange Chocolate Tart with Mascarpone Cream\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-8070\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chocolate and orange are an underrated flavor combination to my taste, and personally I really love this combination.
