Poppy seeds melt-in-your-mouth cookies filled with Nutella &#8211; simple but tasty!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8396\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8396\" class=\"wp-image-8396\" title=\"Poppy Seeds Sandwich Cookies filled with Chocolate\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/poppy_seed_and_chocolate_cookies-s.jpg\" alt=\"Poppy Seeds Sandwich Cookies filled with Chocolate\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-8396\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Poppy Seeds Sandwich Cookies filled with Chocolate<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">35 small sandwich cookies<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><u>For the dough:<br \/>\n<\/u>160 grams all-purpose flour<br \/>\n25 grams freshly ground poppy seeds<br \/>\n50 grams sugar<br \/>\n100 grams cold butter cut into cubes<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n2-3 tbsp. water<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><u>For the filling:<br \/>\n<\/u>Nutella or any other chocolate spread<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Sugar powder for serving<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade put flour, ground poppy seeds, sugar, butter, salt and vanilla and blend until crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Gradually add water and continue to blend just until the large chunks of dough form.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough on a lightly floured work surface, combine with your hands and form a disc shape.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 3 mm thick.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into small heart-shaped cookies and place on an oven pan lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Create small round holes in half of the cookies.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the cookies for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely before filling.<\/li>\n<li>Fill each pair of cookies with chocolate and close into a sandwich.
