I love its melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the Dulce de Leche and coconut combination. This is a chocolatey version to the popular Argentinian cookies &#8211; Two chocolate alfajores cookies filled with Dulce de Leche and decorated with Funfetti. Kids (and also adults) will love them!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">These chocolate alfajores would be perfect for any kinds of a birthday party or any other occasion. They are colorful and steal the show on every party. I like to fill them traditionally with Dulce de Leche, but you can also fill them with any kinds of chocolate spread you like (personally I prefer Nutella).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lilcookie.com\/category\/cookies-and-individual-desserts\/cookies-and-brownies\/\">Looking for more cookies recipe? Click here &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9007\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9007\" class=\"wp-image-9007\" title=\"Funfetti Chocolate Alfajores\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/sprinkles_alfajores-s.jpg\" alt=\"Funfetti Chocolate Alfajores\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9007\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 22712--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Funfetti Chocolate Alfajores<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For chocolate dough:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams (1\/2 cup) cold butter cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (3\/4 cup) cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>25 grams (2 tbsp.) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>5 grams (1 tsp.) baking powder<\/li>\n<li>60 grams (1\/2 cup) sugar powder<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp. water (as needed)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the filling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>200-250 grams Dulce de Leche<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Funfetti<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade put butter, flour, cornstarch, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, salt and vanilla and blend until crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add eggs and continue to blend just until large chunks of dough form. It needed, add a little water.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough chunks on a lightly floured work surface, and form a disc shape. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>On a floured work surface roll out the dough to about 3 mm thick and cut out small circles (I used a 4-5 cm in diameter cookie cutter).<\/li>\n<li>Place the cookies on an oven pan lined with baking paper and cool for an hour in the freezer.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 160c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until set and fully baked.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange the cookies in pairs and generously fill each pair with Dulce de Leche.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Roll the sides of each cookie in Funfetti.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Keep in a sealed box until serving. It is recommended to prepare the cookies a day or two before serving, so they absorb some moisture from the filling.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cookies in a sealed jar for up to a week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can roll the cookies with chopped nuts or coconut instead of sprinkles.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can fill the cookies with any other spread you like.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alfajores are probably my favorite cookies.
