It&#8217;s delicious and if you like tiramisu I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll like it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9120\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9120\" class=\"wp-image-9120\" title=\"Hazelnut Coffee Tartelettes with Mascarpone Cream\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/hazelnut_cheese_and_chocolate_tartlette-s.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnut Coffee Tartelettes with Mascarpone Cream\" width=\"800\" height=\"599\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9120\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 21390--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Hazelnut Coffee Tartelettes with Mascarpone Cream<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div style=\"direction: ltr\"><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For coffee crust:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>150 grams all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>100 grams cold butter cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>50 grams sugar<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. espresso<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp. water (if necessary)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For hazelnut, chocolate and coffee cream:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams hazelnuts<\/li>\n<li>100 grams sugar<\/li>\n<li>100 grams cold butter cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>2\u00a0 tbsp. espresso<\/li>\n<li>25 grams dark chocolate chips<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For mascarpone cream:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>225 grams mascarpone cheese at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>250 ml. heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. sugar powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For coffee truffle:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams chopped dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>25 ml. heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. espresso<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Chopped toasted hazelnuts<\/li>\n<li>Halved toasted hazelnuts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>You will need:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>8-10 baking ring 7 cm in diameter<\/li>\n<li>silicon mold for mini savarin (7 cm in diameter)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<h4>Coffee Crust:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade blend flour, butter, sugar, salt and vanilla until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add coffee and continue to blend just until large chunk of dough form. If needed, add a little water gradually.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough chunks on a lightly floured work surface and form a disc-shape with your hands.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out the dough on a floured work surface about 3-4 mm thick and cut out circles about 8-9 cm in diameter. Line the tartelette molds. It is important to create a right angle between the sides and the base of the crust, which will ensure the edges remain high when baking.<\/li>\n<li>Pierce the bottom of each crust with a fork.<\/li>\n<li>Freeze the tartelette crusts for about 30 minutes before baking.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Blind baking:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Put a sheet of heat-resistant plastic wrap or baking paper over each tartelette and fill with dry beans or special weights for baking.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 10-12 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the weights and the plastic wrap and continue to bake the crust for about 2-3 minutes or until it is very lightly golden.<\/li>\n<li>Cool at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Hazelnut, chocolate and coffee cream:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a food processor with a steel blade blend hazelnuts, sugar, butter, espresso and dark chocolate until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add cocoa powder and egg and continue to blend until a thick cream is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Fill the tartelette crusts with cream about 3\/4 of its height.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and set. Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Mascarpone cream:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a mixer bowl whip mascarpone, cream, vanilla and powdered sugar until you get a uniform and stable cream.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the whipped cream into the silicone pan, filling the molds. Straighten the top with a palate knife.<\/li>\n<li>Freeze for about 2-3 hours, until completely frozen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Coffee truffle:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a small bowl put dark chocolate, espresso and cream and melt in the microwave or over double-boiler and whisk until smooth chocolate ganache is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Cool for 10-15 minutes at room temperature and transfer into a pastry bag.<\/li>\n<li>Extract the mascarpone cream form the mold and place on top of each tartelette.<\/li>\n<li>Decorate the sides with chopped hazelnuts.<\/li>\n<li>Fill the center with truffle mixture and decorate with toasted hazelnut halves.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;text-align: left\">Keep the tartelettes in a closed box in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;text-align: left\">Instead of hazelnuts you can use any other nut you like such as pecans, pistachios or cashews.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9121\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9121\" class=\"wp-image-9121\" title=\"Hazelnut Coffee Tartelettes with Mascarpone Cream\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/hazelnut_cheese_and_chocolate_tartlette2-s.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnut Coffee Tartelettes with Mascarpone Cream\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9121\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I absolutely LOVE making tartelettes.
