You won&#8217;t believe how easy it is to make too!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9157\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9157\" class=\"wp-image-9157\" title=\"Praline Chocolate Cake with Coffee Whipped Cream\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/chocolate_coffee_and_praline_cake-s.jpg\" alt=\"Praline Chocolate Cake with Coffee Whipped Cream\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-9157\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Praline Chocolate Cake with Coffee Whipped Cream<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">20-22 cm round cake pan<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For the praline chocolate cake:<\/span><br \/>\n250 grams dark chocolate<br \/>\n200 grams butter<br \/>\n4 large eggs<br \/>\n200 grams sugar<br \/>\n1 tbsp. praline powder<br \/>\n1 tsp. instant ground coffee<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. fine salt<br \/>\n140 grams all-purpose flour<br \/>\n1 tsp. baking powder<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For the cream:<\/span><br \/>\n250 ml. heavy cream<br \/>\n1 tsp. cream stabilizer or instant vanilla pudding mix<br \/>\n1 tsp. instant coffee powder<br \/>\n1 tbsp. sugar powder<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Decoration:<\/span><br \/>\n100 grams grated dark chocolate<br \/>\nDark chocolate crunchy pearls<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl melt chocolate and butter in the microwave or over double-boiler.<\/li>\n<li>In a mixer bowl whip eggs, sugar, praline powder, instant coffee and salt at high speed for about 5-6 minutes, until you get a soft, shiny and very stable mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add the melted chocolate mixture into the whipped eggs and fold in gently with a spatula.<\/li>\n<li>Sift in flour and baking powder and continue to fold just until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into the pan and level the top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out with moist crumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Cream: in a bowl of a mixer whip cream, stabilizer, coffee and powdered sugar until you get a stable whipped cream.<\/li>\n<li>Coat the cake with whipped cream on the sides and pipe small mounds over the top (using a piping bag with round piping tip).<\/li>\n<li>Decorate the edges of the cakes with chopped chocolate cake and top with dark chocolate crunchy pearls.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Keep the cake in the fridge, but you should take it out to room temperature about 15 minutes before serving.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the cake in the refrigerator up to 5 days.<\/li>\n<li>Gluten-free version: use 75 grams cornstarch and 65 grams of almond meal instead of flour in the cake.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This praline chocolate cake is enriched with coffee and praline, and is easy to make, festive and great for a birthday celebration.
