If you like chocolate and banana &#8211; you should try it!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_13998\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13998\" class=\"wp-image-13998\" title=\"Coconut and Banana Chocolate Cake\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/\u05e2\u05d5\u05d2\u05ea-\u05e9\u05d5\u05e7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d3-\u05e7\u05d5\u05e7\u05d5\u05e1-\u05d5\u05d1\u05e0\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea.jpg\" alt=\"Coconut and Banana Chocolate Cake\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-13998\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Benny Gam Zo Letova<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Coconut and Banana Chocolate Cake <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Two 25 cm long loaf cake pans<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For the banana chocolate cake:<\/span><br \/>\n3 large eggs<br \/>\n200 grams (1 cup) sugar<br \/>\n400 grams coconut cream<br \/>\n150 ml. vegetable oil<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n2 large ripe bananas, mashed<br \/>\n140 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour<br \/>\n70 grams (1\/2 cup) cocoa powder<br \/>\n10 grams (2 tsp.) baking powder<br \/>\n65 grams grated coconut<br \/>\n100 grams dark chocolate chips<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For chocolate ganache:<\/span><br \/>\n150 grams dark chocolate<br \/>\n100 ml. coconut cream<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Decoration:<\/span><br \/>\n1 large banana, cut into large cubes<br \/>\n2-3 tbsp. toasted shredded coconut<br \/>\ngrated chocolate<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 175c degrees, and grease the pans.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, coconut milk, oil, salt, vanilla and mashed bananas until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Sift in flour, cocoa and baking powder and add shredded coconut. mix just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>divide the mixture to the pans and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the center of the cakes comes out with moist crumbs. Cool at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate ganache: Chop the chocolate and place in a small bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Place coconut cream in a small saucepan and bring to simmering point.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the boiling coconut cream over the chopped chocolate, wait a minute, and whisk until you get a shiny, smooth and chocolatey mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Cool the chocolate cream for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature, and pour over the cake.<\/li>\n<li>Decorate with banana cubes, toasted shredded coconut and grated chocolate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Instead of coconut you can use chopped almonds.<\/li>\n<li>Cake is best at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.<\/li>\n<li>It is recommended to add the topping just before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This banana chocolate cake is one of the most delicious, moist and easy to make.
