It&#8217;s so easy to make, refreshing and such a great dessert to make when in a hurry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is a traditional recipe, that is served with rose water syrup, ground coconut and chopped walnuts. (1 3\/4 cup) milk<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>30 grams (3 tbsp.) cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. rose extract<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For rose syrup:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams (1\/4 cup) sugar<\/li>\n<li>60 ml. 1\/4 cup) water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp. rose extract<\/li>\n<li>Few drops red food coloring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For serving:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Ground coconut<\/li>\n<li>Chopped walnuts<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>In a medium pot place milk and sugar. Bring to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl.<\/li>\n<li>When milk mixture is boiled, add the melted cornstarch and whisk until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Cook together on medium heat, stirring all the time, until mixture is thick and boiling.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the stove and add rose extract.<\/li>\n<li>Divide between 4 glasses. Make sure to leave room for the syrup and nuts.<\/li>\n<li>Cool in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or until completely cold.<\/li>\n<li>Rose syrup: in a small sauce pan put sugar and water and bring to a boil. Cook for 2-3 more minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the stove and add some rose extract and red food coloring.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely before serving.<\/li>\n<li>Serving: add 1-2 tbsp. on top of each portion, garnish with coconut and walnuts and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Serve cold!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">It&#8217;s best to add the syrup and toppings just before serving.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can keep the malabi wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malabi is one of my favorite middle-eastern desserts.
