Maple in general is simply a delicious ingredient I always look for different ways to use it in my recipes.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This cinnamon maple cake is one of the best &#8211; it&#8217;s so easy to make, moist, fragrant and so delicious. (1\/2 cup) vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>75 ml. (1\/2 cup) water<\/li>\n<li>140 grams (1 cup) spelt flour<\/li>\n<li>75 grams (3\/4 cup) almond meal<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the topping:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams sliced almonds<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp. light brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>Sugar powder for serving<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees and grease the pan.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, maple, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, oil and water into a smooth mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add in spelt flour, almond meal and baking powder and mix just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the batter into the pan, and smooth the top.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle sliced almonds and brown sugar evenly over the cake.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until cake is set, golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Cool the cake at room temperature, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the cake in the refrigerator for up to a week, but it is recommended to serve it warm or at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Instead of almonds you can use any other nut you like.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can add spices like cardamom, ginger, cloves according to personal taste.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">You can use honey or date syrup instead of maple.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maple cake is one of my favorite cakes in the world.
