On top I drizzled some melted white chocolate and everyone just loved them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10538\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10538\" class=\"wp-image-10538\" title=\"\u05d0\u05d5\u05d6\u05e0\u05d9 \u05d4\u05de\u05df \u05e9\u05d5\u05e7\u05d5-\u05e4\u05d9\u05e1\u05d8\u05d5\u05e7\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/chocolate_and_pistachio_hamantaschen-s.jpg\" alt=\"\u05d0\u05d5\u05d6\u05e0\u05d9 \u05d4\u05de\u05df \u05e9\u05d5\u05e7\u05d5-\u05e4\u05d9\u05e1\u05d8\u05d5\u05e7\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10538\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 19833--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Chocolate and Pistachio Hamantaschen Cookies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For chocolate dough:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>140 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>100 grams (1 stick) cold butter cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>30 grams (3 tbsp.) cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>50 grams (5 tbsp.) sugar powder<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp. milk (if necessary)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For pistachio and white chocolate cream filling:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams (1\/2 cup) natural pistachios<\/li>\n<li>30 grams (3 tbsp.) sugar<\/li>\n<li>25 (1 tbsp. + 1 tsp.) cold butter cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>25 grams white chocolate (chopped)<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg yolk<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. milk<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Decoration (optional):<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>50 grams white chocolate (melted)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Chocolate dough: in a food processor with a steel blade put flour, butter, cocoa powder, sugar powder and salt and blend until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg and continue to blend only until large chunks of dough form. If the dough stays crumbly, gradually add some milk.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough chunks on a lightly floured work surface, form a disc shape and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Pistachio and white chocolate cream: in a food processor with a steel blade (no need to wash after preparing the dough) put pistachios, sugar, butter, white chocolate and salt and process until everything is minced and blended.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg yolk, milk and flour and continue to blend until a very thick cream form.<\/li>\n<li>On a floured surface roll out the dough about 3-4 mm thick and cut out 7-8 cm circles.<\/li>\n<li>In the center of each circle put a small amount (about a teaspoon) of the filling and close tightly into a triangular shape.<\/li>\n<li>Place the hamantaschen on an oven pan lined with baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Cool the cookies in the fridge for half an hour before baking.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 12-18 minutes or until golden and set.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely before decoration.<\/li>\n<li>Decoration: melt white chocolate and put in a small piping bag.<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle thin strips of chocolate on top of each hamantaschen and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Instead of pistachio you can use any other nut you like.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Keep the hamantaschen cookies in a sealed jar at room temperature for up to 5-6 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--End WPRM Recipe--><\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Purim is a great holiday for kids, and one of the classic cookies in these festive days are Hamantaschen.
