(1 tbsp.) vegetable oil<br \/>\n70 grams (1\/2 cup) all-purpose flour (see notes for gluten free version)<br \/>\n30 grams (3 tbsp.) cocoa powder<br \/>\n1 tsp. baking powder<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For Tahini cream:<\/span><br \/>\n250 ml. heavy cream<br \/>\n1 tbsp. raw tahini paste<br \/>\n1 tbsp. honey or date syrup<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 tsp. cream stabilizer or instant vanilla pudding mix<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For chocolate coating:<\/span><br \/>\n150 grams dark chocolate<br \/>\n160 ml. (2\/3 cup) heavy cream<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Decoration:<\/span><br \/>\nCrushed halva<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Chocolate Roll: preheat oven to 170c degrees and line a baking tray with lightly greased baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>In an electric mixer bowl whip eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla on high speed until you get a very fluffy and bright mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add oil, flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and fold gently until mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter onto the pan, and spread it evenly on the pan using a spatula.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until set.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the roll onto a clean surface and separates the baking paper.<\/li>\n<li>Tahini cream: in a bowl of an electric mixer with whipping attachment whip cream, tahini, honey, vanilla and cream stabilizer until stable cream is formed.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the cream over the roll and spread to a thin layer.<\/li>\n<li>Roll tightly.<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate coating: chop the chocolate and put in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add heavy cream and melt together in the microwave or over double boiler, until everything is melted and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the chocolate coating over the Swiss roll in a thin layer.<\/li>\n<li>Cool in the refrigerator in a closed container for about 3-4 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Before serving, decorate with crushed halva.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Keep the roll in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.<\/li>\n<li>You can add some chopped nuts to the filling for extra crunch.<\/li>\n<li>You can decorate the rolls with grated chocolate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gluten free version<\/strong>: instead of flour, use 35 grams almond meal and 35 grams cornstarch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_10569\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10569\" class=\"wp-image-10569\" title=\"\u05e8\u05d5\u05dc\u05d3\u05ea \u05e9\u05d5\u05e7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d3 \u05d5\u05d7\u05dc\u05d1\u05d4\" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/chocolate_and_halva_swissroll-s.jpg\" alt=\"\u05e8\u05d5\u05dc\u05d3\u05ea \u05e9\u05d5\u05e7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d3 \u05d5\u05d7\u05dc\u05d1\u05d4\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-10569\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chocolate and tahini are one of the best combinations in desserts to my taste.
