Serve it warm with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream, and it&#8217;s the perfect dessert on hot summer days.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11013\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11013\" class=\"wp-image-11013\" title=\"Nectarines and Hazelnut Pie \" src=\"http:\/\/oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/nectarine_and_hazelnut_pie-s.jpg\" alt=\"Nectarines and Hazelnut Pie \" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11013\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6091382327871787\" data-ad-slot=\"7832461759\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Hazelnut Nectarine Pie<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">24-26 round pie pan or baking ring<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For short crust pastry:<\/span><br \/>\n175 grams all-purpose flour<br \/>\n100 grams cold butter, cut into cubes<br \/>\n40 grams icing sugar<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 egg yolk<br \/>\n2-3 tbsp. cold milk (as needed)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For hazelnut cream:<\/span><br \/>\n100 grams hazelnuts<br \/>\n75 grams cold butter cut into cubes<br \/>\n75 grams light brown sugar<br \/>\n1 tbsp. all-purpose flour<br \/>\nPinch of salt<br \/>\n1 large egg<br \/>\n1-2 tbsp. hazelnut liqueur or brandy<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For nectarines:<\/span><br \/>\n2-3 tbsp. sugar<br \/>\n3-4 large nectarines, diced<br \/>\njuice of 1\/4 lemon<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For the crumble:<\/span><br \/>\n50 grams cold butter cut into cubes<br \/>\n50 grams all-purpose flour<br \/>\n20 grams whole hazelnuts<br \/>\n2 tbsp. light brown sugar<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Icing sugar for decoration<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Crust: in a food processor with a steel blade put flour, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt and process until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg yolk and continue to process just until large clumps of dough form. If the dough is not setting, gradually add a little milk.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the dough chunks on a lightly floured work surface and form a disc-shape with your hands.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out the dough on a floured work surface about 3-4 mm thick and line the pie pan. It is important to create a right angle between the sides and the base of the crust, which will ensure the edges remain high when baking.<\/li>\n<li>Using a fork create holes in the crust. Freeze the crust for about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 170c degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Blind baking: put a sheet of heat-resistant plastic wrap or baking paper on the frozen crust and fill with dry beans or special weights for baking.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 12-15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the weights and the plastic wrap and continue to bake the crust for about 10-15 minutes or until golden.<\/li>\n<li>Cool slightly at room temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Hazelnut cream: in a food processor with a steel blade put hazelnuts, butter, sugar, flour and salt and blend until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Add egg and liqueur and continue to process until creamy, smooth and thick.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the cream over the crust, and smooth the top.<\/li>\n<li>Nectarines: in a medium pan put sugar and form caramel.<\/li>\n<li>When caramel is amber, add the diced nectarine and a little lemon juice and cook over medium heat until slightly softened nectarines. Cool.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange the nectarine on the cream evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Crumble: in a food processor with a steel blade put butter, flour, hazelnuts and sugar and blend together until mixture is crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Put the crumbs over the nectarines.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 15-25 minutes or until the crumble is golden browm.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely at room temperature, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Keep the pie in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.<\/li>\n<li>Serve the pie at room temperature or even slightly warm.<\/li>\n<li>You can use pears, peaches and even berries instead of nectarines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_14858\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14858\" class=\"wp-image-14858\" title=\"Hazelnut Nectarine Pie\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oogio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/nectarine_and_hazelnut_pie2-s-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hazelnut Nectarine Pie\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14858\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Natalie Levin<\/p><\/div>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This hazelnut nectarine pie is one of the most delicious pies you can make.
