Making granola at home is so easy, once you’ll try it – I assure you will never buy it in the market. It can be made with just about any fruit, grains or nuts according to your personal taste, and it’s easy to make and very quick.

Homemade Granola with Maple and Pecans

For the granola:

  • 500 grams whole oats
  • 150 blanched sliced almonds
  • 150 grams coarsely chopped pecans
  • 50 grams pumpkin seeds
  • 50 grams sunflower seeds
  • 120 grams fried cranberries
  • 20 grams sesame seeds or shredded coconut
  • 120 grams butter
  • 120 grams honey
  • 120 grams maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  1. Preheat oven to 160c degrees and line a baking tray with waking paper.
  2. In a small pan put honey, maple butter and salt and cook over medium-high heat until melted and smooth.
  3. Meanwhile, mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Pour over the hot mixture and stir until everything is coated with the mixture.
  5. Transfer the granola into the baking tray and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden. Stir occasionally while baking.
  6. Cool completely at room temperature and keep in a sealed jar.
  • Keep the granola in a sealed jar for up to 3 weeks.
